Blueberry Shake

Blueberries are a wonderfully delicious berry, with a unique sweet flavor. Blueberries also have a lot of nutritional value as well as some proactive health benefits. They make great a great addition to pancakes, waffles and muffins, of which I regularly have them in, but blueberries are also great for adding into desserts, malts, shakes and beverages of all sorts. Here is a blueberry shake recipe I thought I would share.

To make a blueberry shake you will need these ingredients:

*1 cup of frozen blueberries
* 1/4 cup of sugar
* 1 pint of vanilla ice cream
* 1/4 to 1/3 cup -
( either ) club soda or strawberry soda, or cream soda or root beer or 7-up
( you want something with some carbonated soda in it )

In a blender add, then mix your frozen blueberries, and sugar. After that has mixed, add your vanilla ice cream and the carbonated beverage of your choice. Let that blend for 10 to 15 seconds, all together. You can decorate the blueberry shake shake shake with leftover frozen whole blueberries on the tops of the drinks. if you like. The trick is finding a soda pop that you like that compliments the blueberries.That's a personal taste thing, for each individual. If you have several varieties of soda pop, you can try half a batch of one and have a batch of the other, if you like.

Blueberries are a tasty treat that goes well with lots of things and is supposed to be very good for you. If you can find fresh blueberries in your supermarket you can also use them as well. Just wash them very thoroughly . You can use them in the shake like they are but I would personally recommend washing them very good in cold water and then placing them in your refrigerator's freezer over night. This helps the shake stay very cold and that way it doesn't melt so quickly when you mix it with the ice cream for your shakes.
